Vendor Finance Institute Pty Ltd has set the dates of our first round of training events aimed at assisting Vendor Financiers gain their Australian Credit Licence (ACL).
Applicants for the ACL need their Certificate IV in Financial Services and the ability to complete all the requirements of the ASIC ACL application.

Course Overview
The course commences with 3 days of training for the Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking).
Day 4 is designed to assist Vendor Financiers complete the application for the ACL. The ASIC application for the ACL is structured to find out if the Licence applicant is a “fit and proper person” and whether the applicant has a minimum level of appropriate business structures in place, for the issue of the Licence.
Day 4 will cover:
(a) Filling out and applying for your Australian Credit License
(b) Setting up record keeping for Vendor Finance transactions
(c) Templates of Policies needed to conform with the new ACL
(d) Templates of checklists needed for your ACL
Each participant will receive manuals and templates of all the applicable information. They will be emailed prior to the training, with some forms needing action prior to the course, e.g. completing and sending in your requests for a Bankruptcy check, an Australian Federal Police check and applying for your Credit File.
Having these actions completed prior to the course will allow you to submit your complete ACL application earlier.
If you already have a Cert IV in Financial Services you may wish to complete only Day 4. Please let us know whether you’ll be completing the full 4 day course or only Day 4 when you enroll.
